“Hey,” Shepard spits out her toothpaste and catches Sam by the waist, “you know I’d let you get your stuff first, right?”
Sam laughs, not much more than a puff of air, and settles her hands on Shepard’s hips; she exhales, and it’s every insecurity from the last 24 hours leaving her body at once.
“I mean, I wouldn’t kick you off the ship. But if I did, I’d let you get your stuff first.”
“I don’t know,” Sam says with a smirk, “I’m not sure the rest of my things are all that useful in helping you steal back the Normandy.”
Samantha: Whatever happens… I love you. Now go save the world. Again.
“Whatever happens—I love you. Now go save the world—again.”
