If Palaven has a weak magnetic field, then it has a weak magnetosphere, which means it should also have brighter, more colorful auroras visible over a wider disc. So imagine this happening every night over Cipritine: curtains of red, blue and green light marching across the sky, colors so different from the natural, unrelenting silver of the wildlife and the trees. Sometimes they’re bright enough to cast shadows on the ground; sometimes they’re faint enough to let the stars shine through; and sometimes the sky just pulses with light as if breathing. With sights like these, it’s not hard to see how turians came to believe in spirits.
Okay, but can you imagine a game where Nihlus lived? Just maybe, that he barely hung onto life and you saved him? The council would have gone after Saren so much sooner if he’s told them exactly what happened. He could have hung around the ship, and been your connection to the council like he was supposed to. Him and Garrus could have made funny Turian jokes that no one would get and it would have been wonderful.
Basically, I could have had two Turian cuties, but nope, Bioware is cruel.
